SB598/AB604 that would allow incarcerated individuals to enroll in Medicaid 90 days pre-release has been signed into law!
SB154/AB180 to provide additional SNAP funding and restrict what SNAP can be used for was signed into law. The bill provides funding for our state to keep our SNAP error rate low to ensure we don’t lose federal funding. However, the bill also makes it so SNAP recipients cannot use their benefits on soda and candy, and there may be issues with implementing the restrictions.
